Remarkable Fossil Discoveries
Dino and Eggs
In 1992 an incredible fossil discovery was made. A group of scientists dug up and found a group of fossils of a dinosaur near some eggs, suggesting he was stealing them. Thus they called this dinosaur species "oviraptor".
However, years after, another team discovered very similar eggs and were able to extract a fossil from one of those eggs. The fossil was in fact an oviraptor itself, which meant that the original "thief" was actually misinterpreted, and it was in fact the parent! As they excavated all the fossils they were astonished at the scene of a fossilised dinosaur sitting on the eggs. What's even more remarkable is that it was in the exact same position that today's birds adopt when sitting on their eggs! This was another hint that birds actually evolved from dinosaurs!
The Strange Marriage
Back in 2013 scientists explored a 250 million year old fossilised burrow from the Karoo Basin of South Africa. 
The burrow revealed two unrelated vertebrate animals nestled together and fossilised after being trapped by a flash flood event. 
Facing harsh climatic conditions following a mass extinction event, the amphibian Broomistega and the mammal forerunner Thrinaxodon cohabited in a burrow!

Further studies show that the amphibian had physical disabilities but nonetheless, it was not evicted by the reptile!
The first thing that might come to mind is that their interaction was one of predator-prey, but scientists found no teeth marks on either one of them, no evidence at all that one tried to prey on the other.
Both animals were finally entrapped in the burrow by a sudden flood and preserved together in the sediments for 250 million years. That was one long marriage!
